"I will never abuse my expenses to reward my family"
It is shocking in this day and age that so many of our politicians abuse their expense accounts to hire family members, often for inflated salaries and frequently for doing very little work. We have seen some truly shocking examples in the press. What we haven't seen is any leadership from the main parties in actually tackling this problem.
It's vital that politicians restore trust with the public after the expenses debacle. Part of that process has to be an end to the culture of using expenses to reward family members.
We promise that none of our MEPs will ever abuse their expenses to reward family members.
