There can be few people who haven't heard about Peter Mandelson's free holidays and trips, courtesy of big businesses and billionaires, but this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Our politicians are constantly bombarded with freebies, junkets, tickets and other incentives, all innocuously labelled as 'gifts' to hide what they really are: bribes.
All 'gifts' come with a price attached, whether it is time with a politician, a question asked in Parliament or a law changed.
As soon as a gift is accepted, a politician is compromised in their objectivity.
Therefore we promise not to accept any gifts of any kind.
